Rens van Eijden (born March 3, 1988 in Oss ) is a Dutch football player who has been under contract with NEC Nijmegen since 2018 .

Career

Rens van Eijden already switched to the Dutch top club PSV Eindhoven in the D youth and then went through all youth departments. From 2006 to 2008 he played for Jong PSV, the club's second team. As early as April 11, 2007, he played for the first time for the professional team of PSV Eindhoven in the UEFA Champions League away from Liverpool FC . Nevertheless, it was not until April 2008 that van Eijden received his first professional contract with the Dutch.

For the 2008/09 season he was loaned to the first division side Willem II Tilburg , for whom he made his first game in the honor division on September 14, 2008 in a 3-1 away win at NAC Breda . After good performance in the league, van Eijden was signed by NEC Nijmegen for the 2009/10 season .

National team

In 2009 Rens van Eijden was appointed to the U-21 squad for the Toulon tournament. In 2008 he made his debut in the Oranje B team .
