Mike Trésor Ndayishimiye (born May 28, 1999 in Antwerp ) is a Belgian football player of Burundian descent who has been under contract with the Dutch honorary division Willem II Tilburg since September 2019 . The attacking midfielder has been a Belgian U21 international since October 2019 .
Career
society
Ndayishimiye played in the youth departments of KFC Avenir Lembeek and AFC Tubize before he moved to the youth team of the capital club RSC Anderlecht in summer 2013 . In his third year, he did not make the leap into the U21 team or the first team and finally did not extend his contract with the Paars-wit in summer 2018.
After more than two months without a club, Ndayishimiye joined the Dutch second division club NEC Nijmegen on September 11th . Ten days later he made his debut in a 3-2 away win against Helmond Sport for his new club when he came on for Jonathan Okita in the closing stages . After he only appeared sporadically in the first half of the 2018/19 season , he established himself as a regular starter from January 2019. On January 13, 2019 (20th match day), he scored his first goal of the season in the 3-2 away defeat against FC Eindhoven . During this season he played 25 league games, in which he got seven goals and three assists, which he made a significant contribution to reaching the promotion play-offs.
On September 2, 2019, he moved on loan for the whole season 2019/20 for first division side Willem II Tilburg . The Tricolores also secured a purchase option for the attacking midfielder . In the 4-0 away win against Quick Den Haag in the KNVB Cup on October 30th, he scored a hat trick and set up Paul Gladon's fourth goal . As a result, he made the breakthrough in the starting lineup of head coach Adrie Koster . His first league goal for Willem was on November 30th (15th matchday) in a 4-0 home win against Sparta Rotterdam . During this season he played 20 league games, in which he scored five goals and three assists.
For the 2019/20 season he moved permanently to Willem II, where he signed a three-year contract.
National team
Ndayishimiye played eleven international matches for the Belgian U17 national team between September 2015 and March 2016 , in which he scored one goal. He then worked five times for the U18s and ten times for the U19s . For the latter, he scored six goals. He has been a Belgian U21 international since October 2019 .

Mike Trésor Ndayishimiye is the son of former Burundian soccer player Freddy Ndayishimiye .
