Mats Köhlert (born May 2, 1998 in Hamburg ) is a German football player and actor .

Career as a football player

Köhlert grew up in Norderstedt and started in the youth sections of the SC Sperber and Eintracht Norderstedt playing football before over the FC St. Pauli in the summer of 2013 in the youth academy of Hamburger SV moved. There he played in the 2013/14 season mainly in the second B youth team (U16) in the second-rate Regionalliga Nord and also made three appearances in the first team (U17) in the B-Junior Bundesliga . For the 2014/15 season, Köhlert was a permanent member of the first B youth team and was regularly used in the B junior Bundesliga. Since the 2015/16 season he was used in the A-Juniors Bundesliga .

In February 2016, Köhlert, who had already trained with the pros during international breaks, received his first professional contract, which tied him to the club until June 30, 2019. For the 2016/17 season, Köhlert moved up to the first team's squad. Until the winter break he was in the A-youth and then 7 times (no goal) in the second men's team in the fourth-class Regionalliga Nord . In the first half of the 2017/18 season , Köhlert was not considered in the Bundesliga squad under Markus Gisdol and only played in the second team, in which he made his comeback at the beginning of October 2017 after a three-month injury break. By the end of the year Köhlert had a total of 9 missions in the Regionalliga Nord, in which he scored one goal. During the winter preparation, Köhlert did not travel to the first team's training camp in Jerez de la Frontera . From January 9, 2018, he completed a trial training at the Austrian first division club FC Admira Wacker Mödling , but was not signed. Even under Gisdol's successors Bernd Hollerbach and Christian Titz , who had previously trained the second team, Köhlert was no longer part of the professional squad. In total, he came to 25 regional league appearances in the 2017/18 season , in which he scored one goal.

In the 2018/19 season, Köhlert was initially only in the squad of the second team. After he was not infrequently a substitute player at the beginning of the season, he worked out a regular place on the right wing in the last games before the winter break. After good performances after the winter break, Köhlert was pulled back into the professional squad by Hannes Wolf at the end of March 2019. Up to this point he had scored 4 goals in 23 regional league appearances. On March 30, 2019, he made his debut in the 2nd Bundesliga when he was substituted on in the goalless draw against VfL Bochum in the closing stages. By the end of the season, Köhlert played again in the second team (one goal) and twice with the professionals.

Change to the Netherlands

At the end of his contract, Köhlert left Hamburger SV and switched to the Dutch first division club Willem II Tilburg for the 2019/20 season , where he received a contract until June 30, 2022 and where the former HSV defender Joris Mathijsen is the technical director. By the end of the season due to the Corona crisis , he scored six goals in 33 Eredivisie games and thus contributed to the qualification of Tilburg for the second qualifying round of the UEFA Europa League .

In the national team

Köhlert played from September 2013 to June 2014 eight times in the U16 selection of the DFB and scored one goal. From September 2014 to October 2015 he played 15 times (one goal) for the U17 team . With her he took part in the U17 European Championship in Bulgaria in May 2015 and in the U17 World Championship in Chile from October to November 2015 . After three games in the U18 team between March and June 2016, Köhlert played in the U19 team from September 2016 to July 2017 . In the Under-19 European Championship in 2017 , retired in Germany in the first round, it has been deployed. After a long period without being nominated, Köhlert played twice in the U20 team in March 2019 .

In 2009 he played the role of Klein Brakelmann in the episode Golden Memories of the television series Neues aus Büttenwarder . Köhlert played his first major role in 2011 in the television film Fateful Years at the side of Maria Furtwängler . In the same year he worked in the Kiel crime scene Borowski and the cool dog .

Köhlert completed in 2016, the High School on school Heidberg . His father Dirk Köhlert was also a soccer player. He played u. a. for Holstein Kiel and 1. SC Norderstedt in the then third-class Regionalliga Nord .
