Görkem Sağlam (born April 11, 1998 in Gelsenkirchen ) is a German - Turkish football player . The attacking midfielder is under contract with Willem II Tilburg in the Netherlands and is a former junior international.

Career

societies

Sağlam moved in 2006 from SG Wattenscheid 09 to the youth department of VfL Bochum . There he moved up to the professional squad for the 2015/16 season . On April 2, 2016, he was in the first team's squad for the league game at RB Leipzig , but was not used. He made his debut in the 2nd Bundesliga on May 15, 2016 in a 4-2 away win against 1. FC Heidenheim , after being substituted on for Timo Perthel in the 73rd minute . On April 28, 2017, he scored his first competitive goal in professional football in a 4-2 home win against Dynamo Dresden .

In total, the midfielder played in 30 competitive games for VfL, in each of which he contributed two goals and two assists. Without an assignment in the 2019/20 season, he moved to Willem II Tilburg in the Dutch Eredivisie within the winter transfer window , where he received a contract valid until June 2022.

National team

Sağlam played ten games for the German U15 and U16 teams between 2012 and 2013 . On August 19, 2014, he made his debut in the 3-0 defeat against Switzerland in the U17 national team . He played with the team in May 2015 at the U17 European Championship in Bulgaria . He was used four times in the tournament, including in the final, which was lost 4-1 to France , and scored the goal to make it 4-0 in the group game against the Czech Republic . Five months later he took part with the team in the U17 World Cup in Chile and reached the second round with her. Sağlam was used three times. In total, he made 17 appearances and four goals for the U17 selection.

In March and April 2016, Sağlam played three times for the U18 national team . With the U19 selection , he took part in the U19 European Championship in Georgia in July 2017 and was used in all three games of his team. On September 4, 2017 Sağlam debuted at 2: 2 against the Czech Republic in the U20 .
