Requinus round
Requinus Runde (* in Ahlen ; † March 30, 1637 in Warendorf ) was a priest and abbot of the Marienfeld monastery .
Life
Requinus Runde came from Ahlen and was elected and consecrated abbot of Marienfeld Monastery in 1610. When the Thirty Years' War broke out in 1618 , attacks on the monastery increased and Runde moved with his convent to the monastic estates in the fortified town of Warendorf .
In old age Runde returned the office of abbot in 1634 and stayed in Warendorf. There he fell ill with the plague and died there on March 30, 1637. His body was brought to the monastery and buried in the chapter house .
