Save your skin, Killer is a film based on the book Que d'os by Jean-Patrick Manchette with Alain Delon in the leading role of the private detective Choucas. The film was directed by Delon himself. The film premiered on August 13, 1982 in Germany .
action
Private detective Choucas receives a visit in his office from the disturbed Madame Pigot, who misses her daughter. The daughter is blind, had worked in a foundation for the blind and suddenly disappeared. Commissioner Coccioli asks him to take over the case in order to please the mother. He quickly gets a visit from a certain Pradier who tries to convince him that the girl has run away with a friend. Choucas doesn't believe a word of him and, when he tries to squeeze the truth from Pradier, is put down by Kasper. When he wants to meet Madame Pigot, she is shot. He examines her apartment and finds a picture of her and a war criminal who died before the end of the war. Kasper and Pradier lie in wait for him and force him to drive into a forest, where Pradier perishes and Kasper flees. After Choucas has killed a corrupt commissioner, he seeks out his invisible partner "Tarpon" alias Haymann. Meanwhile, his secretary Charlotte is kidnapped.
Choucas and Haymann free them with the involuntary help of Kasper, who is seriously injured and escapes. Since Chouca's actions make headlines, but he is not listed for a wanted man, the trio suspect that someone wants Choucas to stay tuned. It turns out that Coccioli and the drug search are single-handedly trying to break up a drug ring associated with the Foundation for the Blind. Through Kasper's girlfriend, Choucas finds out that the “Verte colline” clinic could be a possible place of residence for the Pigot daughter. Choucas is smuggled in as a patient, but is exposed. By a painful coincidence he finds the Pigot daughter, crammed full of drugs, in a basement room. When Kasper wants to kill her, he is killed by Professor Bachhoffer, the war criminal's old companion. The police then storm the house.
Reviews
"The directorial debut of the actor Alain Delon, who does not manage to give his hero mythical traits in a production based on action scenes, talkative dialogues and brutal effects."
"With this stereotype, Alain Delon only really showed that not every star is a good director."
