Reus Deportiu
Reus Deportiu is a sports club from the Catalan city of Reus in the Spanish comarca of Baix Camp in the province of Tarragona . He is best known for his successful roller hockey teams. The club also has departments for chess , athletics , basketball , hiking , rhythmic gymnastics , roller-skating , rugby , karate , padel , tennis and table tennis . He should not be confused with CF Reus Deportiu, who is mainly involved in football , although both clubs share part of their history and the club colors corresponding to the Spanish flag are the same. Both clubs have been independent since 1951.
History and sports facilities
The association was founded in 1909 under the name Club Deportiu . In 1917 the Club Velocipedista and the Sport Club Reus were integrated, and the current club name was adopted. Due to economic difficulties, the football department was founded in 1951 under the name mentioned above.
In the preliminary rounds of the Europa League , there were several clashes with German representatives, which were mostly unilateral in favor of the Catalans. The German champions RSC Cronenberg at least managed a surprisingly mild 1: 3 at home in 2012.
The club facilities include six swimming pools, two jacuzzis , two saunas, two steam baths, a 400 m² gymnastics hall, three multi-purpose halls, a cycling hall, a basketball hall, five tennis courts, two paddle courts, two football / multi-purpose fields, and the roller hockey hall with 2500 seats and other facilities for judo , hapkido , karate, tai-chi , roller-skating, rhythmic gymnastics.
