Rey Manaj (born February 24, 1997 in Lushnja ) is an Albanian football player . He is currently under contract with FC Barcelona B.

Career

society

Manaj was awarded to the youth department of the Sampdoria Genoa for the 2013/14 season by US Cremonese. After his loan expired in June 2014, he returned to Cremonese. Not in the youth department, but with the 1st team. He played in the 2014/15 season with the US Cremonese in Lega Pro , the 3rd division in Italy.

On July 21, 2015 Manaj was loaned by the Italian first division club Inter Milan. He made his debut in Serie A on August 23, 2015, the first matchday. In the 1-0 win over Atalanta Bergamo , he came in the 85th minute for Marcelo Brozović in the game.

At the end of the 2015/16 season, Inter Milan drew a purchase option that Manaj released from his contract with US Cremonese, which ran until 2020. Manaj was then awarded to the league competitor and promoted Delfino Pescara 1936 at the beginning of the 2016/17 season . The loan ended in January 2017 and Manaj was loaned to the second division club AC Pisa .

For the 2017/18 season he was awarded again, this time to Granada CF and a year later to Albacete Balompié in Spain .

On January 20, 2020, Manaj moved to Barcelona B for 700,000 euros . He then signed a four-year contract. On February 14, 2020 he was in the senior squad for the first time in the game against Getafe FC , but was not used by coach Quique Setién .

National team

After making his debut on November 12, 2014 for the U19s and on March 28, 2015 for the U21s of Albania , he played his first game for the senior national team on November 13, 2015. The 2-2 draw in the unofficial friendly against Kosovo he came on the field in the 54th minute for Sokol Cikalleshi and scored 12 seconds later a header goal through the cross from Ledian Memushaj .
