Reyesia juniperoides is a plant type from the genus Reyesia in the family of the nightshade family (Solanaceae).
description
Reyesia juniperoides is a sturdy, lush, hairless shrub with narrow, rigidly woody branches. The short internodes appear leafless, as the leaves are reduced to almost linear, hood-like scales up to 1 mm in length. The flowers are scattered individually on the upper branches. The calyx is narrow and half divided into five lobes. The crown is about 7 mm long and has a narrow crown tube pointing upwards. The crown throat is clearly separated and small. The four stamens are twofold. The scar has two arms. The fruits are hardened, straw-colored capsules with two or four valves. The placenta is cone-like and winged due to the wide septum.
