Regueb or Rgueb ( Arabic الرقاب, DMG ar-Riqāb ) is a city in central Tunisia 38 kilometers southeast of the city of Sidi Bouzid . It has around 8,000 inhabitants and is the capital of a délégation of the same name with around 60,000 inhabitants.

Regueb is 90 kilometers from Sfax , 110 kilometers from Kairouan and 90 kilometers from Gafsa .
history
During the unrest in Tunisia in 2010/2011 , violent clashes broke out between protesters and security forces in Regueb, which resulted in deaths. She was partially surrounded by special police forces.
economy
The economy of Regueb is based on agriculture , more than 90% of the land is agricultural. In the region are olive oil , crops and fruit produced.
