Rianne de Vries (born December 14, 1990 ) is a Dutch short tracker .

Career

De Vries made his World Cup debut in February 2012 in Sochi . There she took 26th place over 1500 m and 25th place over 1000 m. At the 2013 European Championships in Malmö , she came 24th in the all-around event and at the 2014 European Championships in Dresden, 15th place in the all- around event . In the 2014/15 season she won the silver medal with the relay at the 2015 European Championships in Dordrecht and took 18th place in the all-around competition at the 2015 World Championships in Moscow . In December 2015 she achieved her first podium finish in the World Cup with third place in the relay in Shanghai . At the 2016 European Championships in Sochi, she was first with the relay and sixth with the relay at the 2016 World Championships in Seoul . After second places with the relay in Calgary , Salt Lake City and Gangneung and third place with the relay in Shanghai, she won her first World Cup victory in Dresden with the relay. In addition, she came second there over 1500 m and in Minsk over 1000 m. At the 2017 European Championships in Turin , she won the bronze medal with the relay and the gold medal over 500 m. In March 2017, she took eighth place in the all- around competition and fourth place with the relay at the World Championships in Rotterdam . In November 2017 she won her second World Cup victory with the relay in Seoul. The following year she was sixth with the relay at the European Championships in Dresden and won the silver medal with the relay at the World Championships in Montreal .

In the 2018/19 season, De Vries won in Almaty and Turin with the relay. In addition, she was twice second in the relay and reached with three fourth places over 1000 m, seventh place in the World Cup over 1000 m. At the European Championships 2019 in Dordrecht , she won the gold medal with the relay. In the following season she triumphed in Dresden and Dordrecht and took second place with the relay in Shanghai . At the 2020 European Championships in Debrecen , she won the gold medal with the relay.
