Ric Rojas
Ric Rojas (born February 6, 1952 ) is a retired American long-distance runner .
In 1975 he won at Bay to Breakers , and in 1977 he came 111th at the World Cross Country Championships in Düsseldorf .
In 1978 he won the Boilermaker Road Race and won the Nike Challenge over 15 km with the world best time of 43:41 minutes. The following year he was third in the Mission Bay Marathon, won the Lilac Bloomsday Run and Bolder Boulder , was fourth at the Pan American Games in San Juan over 10,000 m and won the San Antonio Marathon .
In 1981 he won the Gasparilla Distance Classic with another 15 km world best time of 43:12 minutes, and in 1982 he finished second in Runner's Den 10K.
In 1976 he became US cross-country champion .
Ric Rojas works today as a running and fitness trainer.
