Ricardo Bermudez Garcia , called Ricardinho (born November 19, 1975 in São Paulo ) is a Brazilian volleyball player .

Career

Garcia started his career at EC Banespa . He then played for six other clubs in Brazil. In 1997 he made his debut in the Brazilian national team , with which he became South American champion in the same year . In 1999, 2001 and 2003, the Brazilians defended the title. In 2001 they also won the world league . After the team with Garcia was defeated in the final the following year in the same competition, they defeated Russia in the final of the 2002 World Cup . In 2003, the player with Brazil won the first of five consecutive titles in the world league and the success in the World Cup . In the same year he moved to Minas Tênis Clube . In the Olympic tournament , Brazil and Garcia won the gold medal by beating Italy in the final . The setter was then committed by the Italian first division club Pallavolo Modena . At the 2006 World Cup , Brazil defended the title in the final against Poland . With Modena, Garcia won the Challenge Cup in 2008 . He then moved to league rivals Sisley Treviso , for whom he played until 2010. He later returned home and is currently active for Volei Futuro . At the 2012 Olympic Games in London , he won the silver medal with Brazil.
