Ricardo Leoncio Elías Arias (* 1874 , † 1951 ) was a Peruvian lawyer and politician and in 1931 he was acting president of the country for a few days.

After Luis Miguel Sánchez Cerro lost control of most of the army , he resigned as president. Elías, who presided over the Supreme Court, was appointed interim president on March 1, 1931. However, he had to hand over this office to Colonel Gustavo Jiménez , who was pressing for power, on March 5, but he was also only able to stay in office for a week.

According to the historical report, during a discussion with Jiménez, Elías left the presidential palace in a taxi against his insistence, along with a mattress that he had brought from his house to the palace days earlier.
