Ricardo André do Pinho Sousa (born January 11, 1979 in São João da Madeira ) is a former Portuguese football player and today's coach

Ricardo Sousa joined Boavista Porto on loan from Bundesliga club Hannover 96 for the 2006/07 season . He previously played one season at Boavista Porto and scored fifteen goals. In 2007 the contract with Hannover 96, which ran until 2008, was terminated. He then moved to Omonia Nicosia in Cyprus.

Sousa plays in attacking midfield, where he should replace Jan Simak, who has been missing for a long time . He did not succeed in this convincingly and soon the EUR 700,000 flop could be heard in Hanover. During the winter break it was awarded to the Dutch club De Graafschap Doetinchem for half a year. Then he came back to Hannover 96. There he was again only a supplementary player under coach Ewald Lienen. Only under Lienen's successor Peter Neururer did Sousa play more often and show good performances.

Today he plays in the Portuguese Liga de Horna at Club SC Beira-Mar.

Ricardo Sousa learned to play football from his father Antonio Sousa, who won the Champions League in 1987 with FC Porto . Ricardo Sousa also went through the youth school of FC Porto, but could not assert himself there.
