Riccardo Fontana (born January 20, 1947 in Forte dei Marmi , Province of Lucca , Italy ) is Archbishop - Bishop of Arezzo-Cortona-Sansepolcro .

Life

Riccardo Fontana was ordained a priest on July 2, 1972 .

Pope John Paul II appointed him Archbishop of Spoleto-Norcia on December 16, 1995 and ordained him as a bishop on January 6, 1996 ; Co-consecrators were the Archbishops of the Curia Giovanni Battista Re and Jorge María Mejía . As a motto he chose Non recuso laborem .

On July 16, 2009 Pope Benedict XVI appointed him . appointed Bishop of Arezzo-Cortona-Sansepolcro and Archbishop ad personam . The solemn inauguration ( enthronement ) took place on September 13 of the same.
