Richard Demén-Willaume (born January 28, 1986 in Åsa) is a Swedish ice hockey player who has been under contract with the Dragons de Rouen in the French Ligue Magnus since 2011 .
Career
Richard Demén-Willaume began his career as an ice hockey player in the youth department of Frölunda HC , for whose professional team he was active from 2004 to 2006 in the Elitserien , the top Swedish division. The 2006/07 season the defender spent with the Arizona Sundogs in the Central Hockey League , for which he only played nine games. He then returned to his Swedish homeland and received a contract with Rögle BK from the second-rate HockeyAllsvenskan for the 2007/08 season , with which he immediately rose to the Elitserien. In this he played for Rögle for a year and a half before he was signed by the second division Malmö Redhawks in January 2010 . The 2010/11 season he spent mostly with the second division Borås HC , but he was also used in six Elitserien games for his ex-club Frölunda HC.
For the 2011/12 season Demén-Willaume moved to the Dragons de Rouen from the French Ligue Magnus . With his new team he was French champion straight away . At the European level, he also won the IIHF Continental Cup with Rouen .
International
For Sweden Demén-Willaume took part in the U18 World Junior Championship in 2004 . During the tournament he scored one goal and one assist in six games.
