The 2007/08 season was the ninth season of HockeyAllsvenskan as the second highest Swedish ice hockey division .

In the main round, the 16 teams played 45 games each. The four best-placed teams of HockeyAllsvenskan qualified for the Kvalserien , in which they met the two last-placed teams of the Elitserien , with the two first-placed teams of the Kvalserien were allowed to play in the Elitserien in the following season. While the first three of the HockeyAllsvenskan were directly qualified for the Kvalserien, the teams in places 4 to 7 played the last Kvalserien participants in playoff mode among themselves. The last two of the HockeyAllsvenskan had to compete in the relegation round against the three best teams in Division 1 , with the first two were allowed to play in the HockeyAllsvenskan in the following season.

Each team received three points for a win after regular time, two points for a win after overtime, one point for a defeat after overtime and a draw, and zero points for a defeat after regular time.
