Richard Erich Gadegast

Richard Erich Gadegast (born August 1, 1853 in Niedergrauschwitz near Mügeln , † September 1, 1943 ) was a Saxon lieutenant general .

Gadegast embarked on an officer career in the Saxon Army , in the course of which he was appointed commander of the 2nd Cavalry Brigade No. 24 in Leipzig on July 13, 1906 . In this position he advanced to major general on September 23, 1908 and was put up for disposition with the statutory pension on October 20, 1909 in approval of his resignation petition.

During the First World War he was reused as Lieutenant General and was Chief of Staff of the Deputy General Command of the XIX. (II. Royal Saxon) Army Corps .

After his retirement he lived in Leipzig .
