Richard Herzog (born August 5, 1867 in Obernkirchen ; † April 14, 1950 there ) was mayor and member of the German Reichstag .

Life

Herzog attended the Adolfinum Bückeburg high school and studied law in Erlangen and Bonn . He completed an apprenticeship in municipal administration. In Obernkirchen he had been an alderman since 1898 and mayor since 1900. Since 1899 he was also a member of the district council of the Grafschaft Schaumburg. In 1931 he retired as mayor, but was again mayor of Obernkirchen from 1933 to 1939.

From 1906 to 1918 he was a member of the German Reichstag for the constituency of Kassel  1 ( Rinteln , Hofgeismar , Wolfhagen ) and the anti - Semitic German Social Party .
