Richard James Umbers
Richard James Umbers (born March 17, 1971 in Otahuhu , Auckland , New Zealand ) is a New Zealand clergyman and Roman Catholic auxiliary bishop in Sydney .
Life
Richard James Umbers joined in 1990 the Opus Dei in and received on September 1, 2002, the sacrament of Holy Orders .
On 16 April 2016 it appointed Pope Francis to the titular bishop of Thala and auxiliary bishop in Sydney. The Archbishop of Sydney, Anthony Fisher OP , donated him and the simultaneously appointed Anthony Randazzo episcopal ordination on August 24 of the same year . Co- consecrators were the Archbishop of Brisbane , Mark Coleridge , and the Bishop of Macau , Stephen Lee Bun Sang .
