Richard Trojan (born March 26, 1966 in Spišská Nová Ves , Czechoslovakia ) is a former Slovak - German ice hockey player who played on the position of defender . In the top German league he was active for the Cologne EC , the Mannheim ERC and the Schwenninger Wild Wings .

Career

Richard Trojan came to Germany with his family at the age of 14 , initially to Bad Nauheim , where he played for half a year in the youth team of EC Bad Nauheim . This was followed by three years with the junior team at SC Riessersee , before Trojan began his professional career in the 1983/84 season at the Cologne EC in the 1st Bundesliga , for which he was with the team until the end of the 1985/86 season Won German championship, went on the ice. The defender then tied the ice skates for three seasons for the Heilbronn EC , with which he was promoted from the Oberliga to the 2nd Bundesliga South after the first season .

In the 1987/88 season Trojan played 23 games for the Mannheim ERC in the 1st Bundesliga, but played the other half of the season again in Heilbronn. Then Trojan moved to the 2nd Bundesliga North to EHC Essen-West , where he only stayed a single season before he signed a contract in the top German division with Schwenninger ERC for the 1990/91 season , where he was in a blitz action Replacement for Thomas rapeseed silver was committed. Trojan played eight seasons with the Schwenningers before he ended his career after the 1998/99 season with the second division EHC Neuwied . Most recently, Trojan was the trainer of the inline skater hockey team Spaichingen Badgers. Today he is the trainer of the inline and ice hockey hobby team Trojan Horses .
