Richard Výborný
Richard Výborný (born June 4, 1971 in Chomutov ) is a Czech table tennis player . He took part in the 2004 Olympic Games .
Career
Výborný was Czech individual champion in 1994. In doubles he won the title in 1994, 1995 and 2005 (each with Josef Plachý ) and 1997 (with František Krčil ). He was also runner-up in singles and mixed in 2004 (with Alena Vachovcová ).
Between 1993 and 2006 Výborný took part in seven world championships . He achieved his best result in 2006 when he finished fifth with the team. At the European Championships in 2005 , he won bronze in the team competition.
In 2004 he qualified for participation in the double competition of the Olympic Games in Athens. Here he competed with Petr Korbel . In the first round they won against Momo Babungu / José Luyindula (Congo), then they were eliminated against the Russian doubles Dmitri Masunow / Alexei Smirnow .
From 1992 to 1994 Výborný was active in the German club MTG Horst-Essen in the 2nd Bundesliga . He then played with TTC Valcovny Frýdek-Místek in the European Super League . In 1997 he was convicted of doping and therefore banned for two years. Then he joined the Czechoslovak club TTC Banik Havířov, for the 2001/02 season he was committed by the first division club DJK Offenburg , which he left for Italy in 2002. Here he strengthened u. a. the Pieve Milano (2003) and Paiuscato Este clubs. In 2013 he joined TSV Bad Königshofen (2nd BL), and has been playing for TTC Wohlbach since 2017.
Private
Richard Výborný is married to the volleyball player Jitka Výborná and has three children.
