Richard W. Blundell

Sir Richard William Blundell , CBE FBA (born May 1, 1952 in Shoreham-by-Sea ) is a British economist and professor of political economy at University College London . His field of research is econometrics .

Life

Blundell has held the Chair of Political Economy at University College London since 1984 and has been Research Director at the Institute for Fiscal Studies since 1986 . In 2006 the economist was chairman of the Econometric Society and in 2008 he was president of the Society of Labor Economics. Thomson Reuters has been one of the favorites for a Nobel Prize in Economics since 2015 .
