Richard Wagner (politician, 1861)
Richard Wagner (born October 3, 1861 in Klein Schmerberg ; † after 1925) was Mayor of Tapiau and a member of the German Reichstag .
Life
Wagner attended secondary school in Wehlau from 1871 to 1880. He completed an apprenticeship for administrative activities in the Labiau district office , the Marienwerder government and the Royal Special Commission in Königsberg . From October 1, 1881 to October 1, 1882 he was a one-year volunteer with the East Prussian Jägerbataillon Graf Yorck von Wartenburg. He was also a member of the district council and the district committee of the Wehlau district. He was mayor of Tapiau from 1889 to 1925.
From 1910 to 1912 and from 1914 to 1918 he was a member of the German Reichstag for the constituency of the Reichstag electoral district of Königsberg 2 and the Progressive People's Party .
