Kurt von Saucken-Tarputschen (born June 17, 1825 in Tarputschen , † March 1, 1890 in Berlin ) was a German administrative lawyer and manor owner in East Prussia. He was regional director and member of the Reichstag.

Life

Saucken studied law from 1843 to 1846 at the Albertus University of Königsberg , the Ruprecht-Karls-University of Heidelberg and the Friedrich-Wilhelms-University of Berlin . In 1843 he became a member and later an honorary member of the Corpsland Team Normannia Königsberg . From 1846 to 1847 he was an auscultator . In 1849 he took over his father's estate, the Tatars, and in 1854 (after his father's death), the family estate of Tarputschen. Saucken was chairman of the Provincial Parliament of the Province of Prussia and from 1878 Country Director of the Province of East Prussia until 1884. He was also the chief chairman of theAgricultural Central Association for Lithuania and Masuria , member of the German Agriculture Council and the Prussian State Economics College .

From 1862 to 1870 and again from 1872 to 1878 and from 1886 to 1888 he was a member of the Prussian House of Representatives for Angerburg-Lötzen and Königsberg. From 1874 to 1884 he was a member of the German Reichstag for the constituencies of the Reichstag constituency Gumbinnen 5 and Reichstag constituency Königsberg 2 ) for the German Progressive Party and the German Radical Party . There he was mainly active in questions of the Evangelical Church .
