Otto Karl Laser (born March 30, 1869 in Krotoschin ; † May 7, 1926 in Pillkallen ) was a German mayor , district administrator and member of the German Reichstag .

Life

Laser attended elementary school and high school in Krotoschin. He did an apprenticeship as a bricklayer and at the same time attended the building trade school in Breslau . He was a partner in his father's construction business for two years. In 1890/1891 he completed his military service as a one-year volunteer in Fusilier Regiment No. 37 in Krotoschin .

From 1893 to 1898 he was the Royal Building Secretary and until 1905 the district master builder for the Angerburg district. From 1905 he was mayor of Angerburg . Between 1899 and 1905 he was a member of the magistrate and from 1905 a member of the district council and the district committee . He was also a public attorney and a member of the supervisory board of Ofen- und Tonindustrie-Aktien-Gesellschaft Angerburg .

From 1912 to 1918 he was a member of the German Reichstag for the Reichstag constituency of Gumbinnen 5 and the National Liberal Party .

He took part in the First World War as a soldier in the Landsturm battalion "Goldap" and was awarded the Iron Cross, 2nd class.

In 1919 and 1920 he was a member of the Prussian state constitutional assembly for the German Democratic Party . On October 29, 1920 he was appointed district administrator of the Pillkallen district. He held the office until 1925.
