Richard Wemmer (born February 18, 1981 ) is an Austrian football player .
Career
Richard Wemmer began his career in the youth team of SK Sturm Graz . In 2002 he moved up to the squad of the first team, but did not play a competitive game. In 2003 he moved to the Middle Regional League for TSV Hartberg . After only one year he went on to FC Gratkorn within Styria , where he was active in the first division until 2008 .
From January 2008 to summer 2009 he was under contract with LASK Linz in the Bundesliga . Wemmer made his debut in the top Austrian league on February 22, 2008 against his former club Sturm Graz. LASK Linz won 2-1 against Graz, Wemmer was substituted in the 62nd minute.
Since the then LASK coach Andrej Panadić had mostly ignored him when putting the team together, he went looking for a new club. On August 14th, he finally signed a loan contract with the Adeg first division club Red Bull Juniors , which he left for Slovakia in summer 2009 . Wemmer signed with DAC Dunajská Streda , where the Austrian Kurt Garger is the coach. The Styrian made his debut in the Corgoň liga on August 22, 2009 against FK Dukla Banská Bystrica , when he came on for Macedonian Ilami Halimi in the 26th minute . The game was lost 2-0.
Since the beginning of 2010 Wemmer has been playing for the Eastern regional division SV Horn where he was able to establish himself as a pillar of the team. Wemmer has been playing at GAK since summer 2013 .
