Richmond Gosselin (born April 25, 1956 in Winnipeg , Manitoba ) is a retired Canadian ice hockey player and coach .

Career

As a junior he played with the Flin Flon Bombers in the WCHL . There he was the outstanding player of his team and one of the best scorers in the league. In the 1976 NHL Amateur Draft , the Montréal Canadiens brought him in the seventh round as 118.

However, he did not make the leap into the National Hockey League . He was drawn to Switzerland early on. In the 1978/79 season he played three games in the WHA for the Winnipeg Jets .

Other stations were HC La Chaux-de-Fonds , EHC Biel , Friborg-Gottéron , EHC Grindelwald and HC Martigny . After his career as a player he was a trainer or assistant coach of HC Martigny in the NLB, HC Ajoie (NLA and NLB), Eisbären Berlin (DEL), EV Zug (NLA), EHC Basel (NLA).

In the 2006/07 season he coached SG Cortina in the Italian Serie A1 . Prior to that, he was head coach at EV Bruneck during the 2000/01 season .
