The vineyard is a flowing water in the municipality of Dötlingen in the district of Oldenburg in Lower Saxony .
The 4 km long brook has its source halfway between Dötlingen and Neerstedt . It flows in an easterly direction, crosses under the state road 872 and flows south past the Birkenbusch. Shortly afterwards it crosses under the Delmenhorst – Hesepe railway line and finally joins the Altonaer Mühlbach in a small wood to the north near Hockensberg .
