The Riedgraben is a left tributary of the Swabian Rezat near Ellingen in the Weißenburg-Gunzenhausen district in Central Franconia .

course

The brook flows from a small pond at an altitude of 434  m above sea level. NN west of Massenbach . It flows partly canalised in an easterly direction. The Riedgraben feeds further ponds near Ellingen. It then crosses under the Treuchtlingen – Nuremberg railway line and Bundesstraße 2 and flows through a residential area in Ellingen. At an altitude of 387  m above sea level. NN it flows into the Swabian Rezat from the left near a sports field north of Ellingen Castle . During its entire course, the Riedgraben crosses a wide open landscape .
