The Riffelseehütte (in the directory  and the Austrian map Rifflseehütte , occasionally also: Rifflsee Hütte ) is an Alpine Club hut of the Frankfurt am Main section of the German Alpine Club , in the Ötztal Alps in the Austrian Tyrol .

location

The Riffelseehütte is located in the upper Pitztal on the western (i.e. left) side at 2289  m above sea level. A. above the Rifflsee in the ski area of ​​the same name. The owner is 2293  m above sea level. A. to what should correspond to the height of the terrace from which you can enjoy a beautiful view. The view mainly goes into the Taschach valley branching off here , at the end of which the Taschachhaus is located; the tongue of the glacier feeding the stream has now retreated so far that it can only be guessed at.
