The Bertacchihütte ( Italian Rifugio Giovanni Bertacchi ) is a shelter in the Platagruppe, 2175  m slm high . It is located on the Italian side of the Pass da Niemet , in the Val San Giacomo . The managed hut belongs to the Italian Alpine Club (CAI).

history

The hut is located near Lake Emet and a 20-minute walk below the Niemet Pass 2295 m . It is named after Giovanni Bertacchi , a poet from Valchiavenna. The hut is suitable for day trippers, family holidays, hikers, nature lovers, alpinists and ski tourists.

Access

The hut can be reached from Montespluga on the Splügenpass road. Alternatively, you can also start from Macolini, a place near Madesimo .
