Rima Taha

Rima Taha (born March 22, 1987 in Amman ) is a Jordanian athlete.

The 1.75 meter tall and 60 kilogram athlete is trained by Mohammed Adam in Jordan.

At the World Athletics Championships in Paris in 2003 , she ran the 100-meter run for 13.00 seconds. The following year she achieved a time of 12.91 seconds in a competition in Ipoh . At competitions in Algiers she jumped 5.75 meters in the long jump and in Rabat in the triple jump 11.90 meters.

In 2005 she jumped 5.93 meters in Irbid . In 2006 she reached 5.79 meters in a competition in Doha and 5.85 meters in an indoor competition in Pattaya . At the World Junior Athletics Championships in Beijing in 2006 , she reached a distance of 5.52 meters in the long jump.

At the 17th Asian Championships in Amman in 2007 she reached her best distance so far with 6.01 meters in the long jump. In the 100-meter run she ran for 12.99 seconds. In a competition in Cairo , she achieved a top score of 12.27 meters in the triple jump. In 2011 she was able to improve this performance to 12.45 in a competition in Irbid.

At the 2012 Summer Olympics in London , she took part in the 100-meter run and was sixth in her prelim with a personal best of 12.66 seconds. This corresponded to a 16th place within the entire preliminary heats.
