The panicle shrubs ( Myricaria ) are a genus of plants within the tamarisk family (Tamaricaceae). It includes about thirteen species in the northern temperate zone of Europe and Asia; including ten species in China. The only species in Europe is the German tamarisk ( Myricaria germanica ).
description
The panicle shrubs are mostly deciduous, low shrubs , rarely semi-shrubs . They have scaly, alternate leaves .
Their flowers are terminally in single or double racemose inflorescences . The flowers are five-fold. There are five long and five short stamens . Triple capsule fruits are formed that contain many seeds.

- German tamarisk , also known as German Ufertamariske or Rispelstrauch, ( Myricaria germanica (L.) Desv. , Syn . : Tamarix germanica L. )
- Myricaria laxiflora (Franch.) PY Zhang & YJ Zhang ; the species occurs only in China ( Hubei , Sichuan )
- Myricaria paniculata P.Y. Zhang & YJ Zhang ; the species occurs only in China at altitudes of 1000 to 2800 meters
- Myricaria platyphylla Maxim. ; the species occurs only in China
- Myricaria prostrata Hook. f. & Thomson ; the species occurs in Pakistan, India, Central Asia and China at altitudes of 4000 to 5200 meters
- Myricaria pulcherrima Batalin ; the species occurs only in China ( Xinjiang )
- Myricaria rosea W.W. Sm .; the species occurs in Nepal, Bhutan, India and China ( Xizang , Yunnan ) at altitudes of 2600 to 4600 meters
- Myricaria squamosa Desv. ; the species occurs in Afghanistan, Pakistan, in Central Asia, in India and China and here at altitudes from 2600 to 4600 meters
- Myricaria wardii C. Marquand ; the species occurs only in Nepal and China ( Xizang ) at altitudes of 3000 to 4000 meters.
