The manor Dombach or the castle Dombach is a medieval mansion in the district Halfen Dombach of the district Sand of Bergisch Gladbach in the Rheinisch-Bergisch district . In the vernacular it has been called the castle to this day . The construction of the quarry stone building Dombach 2 is dated to the 15th century. The LVR Office for Monument Preservation in the Rhineland classifies it as a former knight's seat.

According to another source, the manor Dombach in the form of Thumbach is already documented for the middle of the 13th century. According to a contemporary chronicler, the knight family Dombach had probably already died out around 1250. In the 15th and 16th centuries, the estate appeared as a knight seat of the von Kessel family . That is why it was called Kesselsdombach for a long time . In the 17th century the property came into the possession of the Waldenburg family . After that, different owners changed. Because a mortgage could no longer be paid in 1825, the property with the Halfenhaus was put into foreclosure.

A fire on April 22, 2013 destroyed the barn attached to the side and damaged the house so much that it has no longer been habitable since then. The house is to be renovated by its new owner, as can be seen on site from the preparatory work.
