River Lochy is a small river in the western Highlands of Scotland . It drains the small lake Lochan na Bi west of the town of Tyndrum in a westerly direction. The valley of the River Lochy, the Glen Lochy , extends around 12 km north of the four Munros Ben Lui , Beinn a 'Chleibh , Ben Oss and Beinn Dubhchraig . On the wide valley floor, the river meanders through lush wet meadows and swamps. Above Dalmally , the river flows into the Orchy .
The A85 road runs a short distance above the northern bank. A partially swampy hiking trail runs directly on the shore; Individual rest areas along the road offer access paths to this path. A few hundred meters above the mouth, the road crosses the river. The River Lochy is also suitable for canoeing.
