The River aux Sables (also Aux Sables River , French Rivière aux Sables ) is a right tributary of the Spanish River in the Algoma and Sudbury District of the Canadian province of Ontario .

The River aux Sables has its origin in a nameless lake west of the Lac aux Sables , which it flows through in an easterly direction. It continues its course in a southerly direction. The Ontario Highway 810 runs along the upper reaches of the river. The River aux Sables reaches the Spanish River at Massey . Shortly before Massey the river flows through the Chutes Provincial Park . The River aux Sables has a length of about 110 km. The river can be traveled by canoe . However, there are class III and IV rapids on the river.
