The Rivers Angels Football Club of Port Harcourt is a Nigerian state women's football club that plays in the Women Professional Football League.
history
The Rivers Angels became champions twice in their history: in 1994 and 2010 they won the title in the Women Professional Football League. In addition, they were runner-up in 2009, just two points behind the Delta Queens. In 2002 they reached the cup final for the first time, but lost to Pelican Stars FC from Calabar . In 2010 and 2011 you could win the Nigerian Federations Cup. The team plays its home games in the 25,000-seat Port Harcourt Liberation Stadium. The association is financially supported by the Rivers State.
