The Rivière Delay is a right tributary of the Rivière Du Gué in the Canadian province of Québec .
The Rivière Delay is the most important tributary of the Rivière Du Gué, a tributary of the Rivière aux Mélèzes . It rises 80 km northeast of Lac Bienville . It flows in a predominantly northerly direction through the Canadian Shield of the Labrador Peninsula . In the upper reaches it passes the Lac Kawaschayamiskaw . In the middle course it flows through the elongated lake Lac Chanikamisu , which is a river widening . The Rivière Delay has a length of about 280 km.
The river was named after Auguste-Louis-Adrien Delay (1856–?), A Jesuit priest.
