The Rivière Sainte-Marguerite Nord-Est is a left tributary of the Rivière Sainte-Marguerite in the Canadian province of Québec .
River course
The Rivière Sainte-Marguerite Nord-Est has its origin in an area rich in lakes in the Monts Valin . In the upper reaches it flows in a southeast direction through the Canadian Shield in the south of the Labrador Peninsula . Later he gradually turns south. It flows through the southwest of the MRC La Haute-Côte-Nord . 6 km west of Sacré-Cœur , the river turns sharply to the west. The Route 172 from Tadoussac to Saguenay crosses the river. The national road runs along its north bank for the last 5 kilometers to its mouth. Eventually this flows into the Rivière Sainte-Marguerite - about 2 km before it flows into the Baie Sainte-Marguerite of the Saguenay Fjord . Canoe tours are possible on the lower reaches of the river . Entry points are at the Chutes du Seize (at kilometer 32) and on route 902 (at river kilometer 20.5). There is an exit point at a settlement about 4 km above the mouth.
