The Roňava (Hungarian Ronyva ) is a 51 km long river in eastern Slovakia and northeastern Hungary .

The river has its source in the Slanské vrchy mountains below the Bogota mountain near the Slančík municipality and then flows south, past Slanské Nové Mesto , Kuzmice , Kazimír and Michaľany before it becomes the border river between Slovakia and Hungary. In this area it separates the Slovak small mountains Zemplínske vrchy from the Hungarian Tokaj mountains . At Sátoraljaújhely / Slovenské Nové Mesto two border crossings cross the river. To the south of Sátoraljaújhely, a left bank branches off, which flows to the east and flows into the Bodrog at Borša , while the Ronyva , which now flows exclusively in Hungary, reaches this same river northeast of Sárospatak .
