LEDA / PGC 10137 (also NGC 1048A ) is a bar- shaped spiral galaxy with an active nucleus of the Hubble type SBbc in the constellation Whale south of the ecliptic . It is estimated to be 502 million light years from the Milky Way and about 105,000 light years across. Together with NGC 1048 , it forms a gravitationally bound galaxy pair.
In the same area of the sky are u. a. the galaxies NGC 1033 , NGC 1042 , NGC 1047 , NGC 1052 .
