Robbie Ryan
Robbie Ryan (* 1970 in Dublin ) is an Irish cameraman .
Robbie Ryan trained at the Institute of Art, Design & Technology in Dún Laoghaire and moved to England in 1993 after graduating. Since then he has worked as a cameraman and often worked several times with directors such as Ken Loach and Andrea Arnold . His over 90 productions also include numerous short films and music videos.
In 2012 he was honored with the Evening Standard British Film Award for best technical or artistic achievement for his work on Wuthering Heights . He has been nominated for numerous awards for American Honey and The Favorite , the latter for the Oscar for Best Cinematography in 2019 . He also won the British Independent Film Award for both of them . As part of the 2019 European Film Awards , he was awarded for The Favorite - Intrigen and Madness in the Best Cinematography category.
