Robert Böhm (born March 28, 1988 in Lubliniec , Poland ) is a German soccer goalkeeper who has been without a club since summer 2011.

Career

Böhm learned to play football in various junior teams in Germany. Including the youth departments of Borussia Mönchengladbach , KFC Uerdingen 05 and FC Schalke 04 . From there he moved to SV Straelen , where the young player joined the squad of the Lower Rhine League team in 2007 . In the following year, the then Dutch second division VVV-Venlo signed him , where he should take his place as number three behind Dennis Gentenaar and Kevin Begois . At the end of the championship year 2008/09, the team rose to the Eredivisie . However, Böhm was not used. Only in the Eredivisie should he temporarily replace the two regular goalkeepers. On October 30, 2009, the 12th matchday, he came in the league game against NAC Breda to his professional debut. He was in the starting line-up of his team. Two more stakes followed in the same calendar year before he had to take part in the matches as a spectator again. In the three games, Böhm came to a draw, a win and a defeat. At the end of the season, the team managed to stay safe. At the end of the season it became known that Böhm and VVV-Venlo would split up. The goalkeeper has been looking for a new club ever since. It was not until March of the following year that he found a new club and joined MVV Maastricht in the Eerste Divisie . He had to react after the regular substitute goalkeeper Cliff Mardulier injured himself . At the end of the season he came there on three league appearances. As tenth in the table, Maastricht qualified for the playoffs in the Eredivisie , where the club failed. In the summer Böhm left the Dutch second division side and has been without a club since then.
