Helmut von der Lippe

Helmut von der Lippe (born February 27, 1935 in Lübeck ; † July 11, 2010 there ) was a German journalist and author .

Life

Helmut von der Lippe trained as an opera singer, but switched to journalism and worked for Lübecker Morgen until the newspaper was closed . From 1969 to 2000 he worked as an editor for the Lübecker Nachrichten . From 1975 to 1981 he headed the local editorial office in Lübeck, after which he took over the report department .

His main focus as an author was on historical topics, in addition to non-fiction books he published works of fiction. He became known to readers in Lübeck in particular through his glosses on "Filippa", in which he described cheerful experiences with his wife Britta. Von der Lippe continued his journalistic work for the Lübecker Nachrichten in his retirement with articles on local history topics, including in the column Lübeck für Kenner . He also headed the editorial department of the Lübeckische Blätter .
