Robert Balthasar Christ

Robert Balthasar Christ ( pseudonyms : Fridolin , Glopfgaischt , born February 10, 1904 in Basel ; † May 14, 1982 there , reformed , resident in Basel) was a Swiss journalist and writer .

Life

Robert Balthasar Christ was born on February 10, 1904 in Basel as the son of the textile merchant Johann Rudolf Christ. Christ, who initially trained as a textile merchant, began to write newspaper reports on car races in 1935 under the pseudonym Fridolin . In 1940 he finally gave up his profession in favor of journalism.

As of 1947, Robert Balthasar published Christ as Glopfgaischt language glosses and wrote as Fridolin stories and one arranged by subject area dictionary . As a critic , columnist and radio staff member, he was a pioneer of quiz programs in the German language, Robert Balthasar Christ achieved great fame both in Switzerland and Germany .

Robert Balthasar Christ, who married Ruth, the daughter of Philipp Arnold Kälin, in 1938, died on May 14, 1982, three months after he had turned 78 in Basel.
