Robert Benckiser

Robert Benckiser (born August 1, 1845 in Rastatt ; † May 15, 1908 in Karlsruhe ) was a German lawyer and politician .

Life

Born as the son of a court judge, Benckiser studied law in Heidelberg and Freiburg after attending the Mannheim Lyceum . During his studies in 1863 he became a member of the Allemannia Heidelberg fraternity . After his exams and various positions at courts and administrative offices, he became an official in Mannheim in 1871 , in 1874 an official in Adelsheim , in 1876 an official and from 1878 an official in Triberg , in 1882 an official in the Buchen District Office , in 1884 an official in Wolfach , and in 1890 in Waldshut . At the end of his activity there, he was awarded the title of Privy Councilor. From 1896 he was an administrative judge at the administrative court in Karlsruhe. In 1885 he received the knight's cross 1st class, in 1896 the one with oak leaves, of the order of the Zähringer lion . In 1906 he was awarded the title of Secret Council, 3rd class.
