Robert Eberle
Robert Eberle (born July 22, 1815 in Meersburg on Lake Constance , † September 19, 1860 in Eberfing near Munich ) was a German painter .
Eberle was a student of the landscape and animal painter Johann Jakob Biedermann in Constance and went to Munich in 1830. There he studied Ruisdael and Dujardin and soon made a name for himself.
Eberle married in Munich in 1842. In 1848 he went to America, but returned after three months and stayed in Munich. He also worked as a watercolor painter and lithographer.
Eberle was known for being able to reproduce the characteristics of domestic animals , especially sheep , very well in his drawings.
His son Adolf Eberle (1843–1914) was also a painter.
