Robert Fassin

Robert Fassin (born July 8, 1922 in Paris - † May 10, 2019 in Gandelu , Département Aisne ) was a French jazz musician ( trumpet ).

Fassin was a student of Jean Greffin, attended André Dabonneville's college and from 1943 played with Tony Proteau , with whom the first recordings for Blue Star were made in 1946 (" How High the Moon ", "Hey-ba-ba-re-bop") . He then played first trumpet player in the Gaumont cinema , and finally in the Lido in Paris ; In the following years he worked in the orchestras of Alex Renard , Noël Chiboust , Alix Combelle , Charlie Parker / Maurice Mouflard (1950), Claude Bolling , Christian Chevallier , Jerry Mengo , Georges Jouvin , Ray Ventura and Michel Legrand .
